Today some work was done on the forms that will be used to hold our round slab of concrete in place while it is being poured.  So, yeah construction has officially started!

Backhoes, fork lifts, bulldozers oh my.  Three weeks from now our new house will be sitting on its pallets wrapped in tarps waiting for us to put it together.  The house comes with a step by step manual for assembly.  Pretty much every single detail is spelled out with exact instructions and most of the hardware included, but there is still plenty to figure out and provide ourselves.  I have some very detail lists going.

I had a dream the other night that the foundation was poured wrong.  It was not on the right lot.  It was on a lot that I had seen before in other dreams, small and on a corner with big hedges on the property line.  The circle wasn’t a circle but a rectangle with rounded edges.  There was a door, no walls.  Just a door that opened to some strange bathroom badly in need of a remodel.  In the dream I was like, yeah we can make this work.

I’ll post more when I have some photos of actual construction action to share and when I know the exact dates of our campout and what we’ll need help with.  The one guy I had lined up to direct the assembly process won’t be able to be there, but mostly we’ll just need additional hands over expertise.
